Not a fun read for sure.. 5 stars an too many memories. Opioid addiction may even be worse and the guilt of thinking you are an enabler. TY for the story I will never be able to write mine.

i can see her get mad at husband, or falling for someone else - but like the other commentator who was reminded, i find the sudden loss of mother love to be hard to grasp.
we have seen too many stories here where the McGuffin was the woman was given ralphies or X to start the affair. so i hate to advocate drugs for a story line, but an addiction to drugs would seem to be the possible reason for the loss of mother love for the little kid. Meth, crack, crank, coke or even X. and there have not been a lot of drug addict stories here. still, an addiction would show other effects over 6 months.
