Gabapentin is not used as a stand alone anti-seizure med in dogs. We typically use Phenobarbital, Potassium Bromide, Keppra or Zonisamide. Gabapentin is used for pain in dogs. Rarely, it's used as an add on anti-seizure med in dogs that are already on 2 or 3 of the above meds.
