I also wanted to add that magnesium can interfere with gabapentin absorption. So for those taking gabapentin or thinking about it for benzo withdrawal, remember to take the magnesium (and calcium) at least 2 hrs before any gabapentin. I'm taking gabapentin right now and it seems to help the taper, OP, but I also like magnesium before bed.
